It’s been a while since I have read one of Mr. Spark’s entries, the last being The Guardian.Yes, his books are quasi-romantic and some might view them as dribble. I, on the other hand, feel that any book that leaves me reconsidering a viewpoint, and possibly changing it, is worth the read.

This is the story of two single people who meet over the questionable impregnation of a dog. It is also the story of how two people come together, marry, form a family and forge an everlasting love.

An unexpected tragedy forces Travis to take a closer look at his life and make some difficult decisions. This is a REAL story. It could happen to any one of us. Mr. Sparks takes the reader to a place where we may need to reconsider past decisions.
