Elizabeth Fitch is not your normal teenager. Controlled by an overbearing mother, Elizabeth is told what to wear, what to eat and how to live her life. It all comes to a momentous conclusion one night when Elizabeth creates fake i.d. and along with a friend, goes to a nightclub. It ends up being one of the turning points of her life.
Liz, takes on a whole new identity. She is now an independent woman running her own business. Always fearful, Liz has taken great precautions to ensure her own safety which includes keeping a loaded gun close by.
A fast-paced thriller, sprinkled with just the right touch of romance, Roberts' latest entry is a must read.

Nora Roberts is such a wonderful author and i treasure her. "The Witness" is a novel i didn't want to end. The characters and plot developed into a fast moving emotionlly grabing ride plus a deeply emotional look at what happens to a child without the warmth and comfort of a loving parent and simple friends. The hero was so understanding, patient and alpha that he personified «warm and fuzzy».
