Blood Money by James Grippando

It is always a pleasure to revisit a well-liked author and this novel is no exception.

Jack Swyteck is back with a case that keeps the reader guessing as to how it all fits together.  Sidney Bennett, a party-girl is accused or murdering her two-year old daughter.  The court of public opinion has already convicted her.  The jury renders a verdict of not guilty and the public is outraged.

On the night of Sidney's release from jail, an agry mob gathers outside the prison gates.  In the mob is a Sidney Bennett look-a-like who is injured during the ruckus.  The victim ends up in a coma in a local hospital with no money to pay the rising medical costs.

Jack tries to uncover the truth about what happened that night and discovers there is an evil menace which has been permeating everything that has happened thus far.

A fast-paced, thriller that will keep you guessing until the end.
