The Highway by C.J. Box

A long-haul trucker known by the name of "Lizard King" is the main character in this new entry by Box.    He, along with several other partners in crime have a habit which involves abducting young women from desolate locations along the highway,torturing and killing them.

Cody, a renegade police officer, starts to investigate the disappearance of Danielle and Gracie who are friends of his son.  They have lost their way to Justin's home and all contact via cell phone has been lost.
Cody embarks on a personal mission to find them before it's  too late.  His former partner, Cassie joins in the search to uncover the whereabouts of the two girls.

A stand-alone novel, this title could definitely be classified as a thriller.  Fast moving and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.  C.J. Box fans will want to read it and if you read Lisa Gardner, you might want to add this to your reading list as well.
