Morning Glory by Sarah Jio

I reviewed one of this author's previous novels several years ago.  The title was The Bungalow.  It was a positive review and I'm giving this entry one too.

The setting of this book is Seattle in a houseboat community.  Of course, the first thing you might think of while reading this book is Sleepless in Seattle and I believe that's a natural transition.

Ava has relocated to Seattle following a major tragedy in her life.  She rents a houseboat and one day discovers a trunk with old papers in it.  She decides to try to find out more about the person whose items are in the trunk.  She enlists the aid of some neighbors that she meets along the way.

This is a romantic novel in the truest sense of the genre.  You'll know where this is heading early on but you will want to keep going.  The historical twist gives the story some depth and the ending was surprising.

Light-hearted reading for a cold winter's day.
