The Chase by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg

I'm sure it's no secret to those of you who know me that I am a consumate Janet Evanovich fan.  Her Stephanie Plum series is by far one of the funniest I have ever read.  In this second book of her new series, Ms. Evanovich joins forces with author Lee Goldberg (of the Monk series fame).

Although this series focuses on Special Agent Kate O'Hare, the author has not lost her touch at creating funny scenes in the midst of some hair-raising escapades.  In this book Kate joins up with con artist Nicholas Fox to play hide and seek with a famous Chinese artifact.  The duo travels all over the world with stops in Montreal and Shanghai to name but a few.

A fast-paced book, reminiscent of Patterson, the story is very believable although some of the situations they manage to pull off seem just a tad unrealistic.  Still and all, if you like the writing of each of these authors, you'll thoroughly enjoy their partnership.
