While They Slept by Katherine Harrison

This is the true story of a teenage boy who murdered his parents and sister, while another sister was spared. He was tried and convicted of the murder and currently resides in prison.

The author of this book had a similar past of abuse and spends much of the story comparing notes with the surviving sister.

I am an avid reader of true crime and I feel compelled to state that this book lacks the writing styles of Joe McGinnes or Ann Rule. I simply could not sink my teeth into this story and found the writing style boring and lackluster.

Ladybookbug!
