The Shadow of Your Smile by Mary Higgins Clark

A gentle mystery—the kind that this author is noted for. She has never disappointed this reader. I’ve read everything she’s ever written, including her non-fiction memoir entitled Kitchen Privileges.

Her latest endeavor is all about a young pediatrician named Monica Farrell and her attempt to discover who her paternal grandparents were. An elderly lady has all the answers and wants to share them with Monica but unfortunately meets her demise before she can do so.

This is an interesting plot with many twists and turns and lots of unsavory characters.

If you are a die-hard Mary Higgins Clark fan, you must read this.
