Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah

Meredith and Nina Whitson are sisters in this new novel by Kristin Hannah. Meredith runs the family business and Nina is a world famous photographer. They are both busy with their respective duties when their father becomes gravely ill. Meredith tries to keep everything going while caring for her father and mother. Nina comes back from the ends of the earth to help.

This is a story of family struggles, differences of opinion, a tale that needs to be told, and planning ahead for geriatric care for their mother.
I loved this book. I’ve read all of the author’s work and this is one of her best. The story meanders a bit in beginning but stay with it—you will not be disappointed.

Winter Garden is a story within a story with a surprising ending.
