How to Bake A Perfect Life by Barbara O'Neal

Try something light for a change. Well, sorta light--at times it does read like a soap opera. This story is set among the lives of three people--Ramona, Sophia and Kate.

Ramona is the owner/operator of a bread-making establishment and interspersed among the chapters are some unusual recipes for bread. Ramona is a single mother to Sophia who is expecting her first child. Kate is the daughter of Sophia's husband by a prior marriage. Something unexpected happens and Kate comes to live with Ramona.

This is a story about the relationship between mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, and stepchildren --all amidst the background of making bread. There are moments when it's time to grab a tissue but also moments that will make you smile.

A delight to read plus recipes to savor. What more could you ask for?
