Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

One thing you can always say about Nicholas Sparks—he’s consistent. His stories are real. Some might say his writings are “sappy” but I find them a pleasant departure from murders and gruesome killing sprees.

Safe Haven is the story of an abused wife who finally gets the courage to leave her abuser. She moves to a southern town where she begins a new chapter in her life. She falls in love and things seem to be going well until something terrible happens. She finds herself second-guessing her decisions but is able to realize that love does indeed conquer all.

If you are into happy endings, then this one’s for you.
