NYPD RED 4- by James Patterson and Marshall Karp
There are those crtics who complain that Mr. Patterson probably doesn't write all those books after all. They claim he just puts his name on the books so they will "sell". Since I am not privy to any of that, I'll not stoop to address those concerns. Rather, I'd like to say that it would be hard for me to state unequivocably that the books are solely his. Never-the-less this blog is about sharing what I liked or disliked about the titles that I read.
NYPD RED 4 is just as exciting at the three previous books in this series. As usual the chapters tend to be on the shorter side but they are not as short as some others have been. The reader can move through this novel quite easily and be motivated to read to the end to find out all the intricasies of the plot.
We are faced with the heist of an 8 million dollar necklace and the dilemma of who perpetrated the crime and where the necklace is. This plot is also peppered with side stories involving the personal lives of two of the detectives who serve on this force.
True to the style and premise of previous James Patterson novels, this latest entry in the NYPD RED series is worth the read.
