The Wolves by Alex Berenson
This author is no stranger to novels that involve subterfuge and conflict. As a fairly prolific producer of exciting and engrossing novels, he
keeps his readers interested and draws his stories from current events.
In this latest book, John Wells, (former CIA operative) is involved in determining what has happened to billionaire, Aaron Duberman. Duberman was the mastermind of a plot involving Iran and the United States. He devised a "false-flag" operation that was designed to engage the two countries in war. An avid supporter of Israel, he was intent on having Iran release its nuclear weapons on some other country. Fortunately, Wells was able to stop the dastardly plot before it happened.
An intense manhunt into the whereabouts of Dubeman has begun. It leads Wells to Hong Kong, Macao, San Diego and the western Pacific Ocean among other locales. Duberman becomes immersed in a Russian plot that also draws in China and the two counties are at the brink of conflict. A well-plotted story that reeks with twists and turns, coming to an exciting conclusion.
Avid readers of the John Wells series will not want to miss this one.
