True Blue by David Baldacci

Enter Mason Perry aka Mace Perry, former undercover policewoman who is now a former prison inmate. Her sister Beth is the chief of police of Washington D.C. Together they hope to find the people responsible for Mace’s incarceration.
A legal eagle has been found murdered and stuffed in the staff refrigerator, only to be discovered by a partner in the firm early one morning. Roy Kingman, the person who discovers the body ends up befriending Mace and together they work to uncover the perpetrators of the crime. This leads to the discovery of a network of people working under the radar.
This is a fast-paced mystery with short chapters, which helps the reader get through the book more quickly as well. I really liked the main character in this story and it is my hope that Mr. Baldacci brings her back in one of his future stories.
